2011-12 John B. Jackson Oral History Faculty Curator GrantUCLA Library Center for Oral History Research The UCLA Library Center for Oral History Research is now accepting applications for its 2011-12 John B. Jackson Faculty Curator Grant. This award provides up to $3,000 for programming organized around a particular theme related to research and issues in qualitative interviewing. The programming may take the form of a series of lectures, panels, films, or any other presentational media that draw on or discuss qualitative interviews in any way. Funding can be applied to all costs associated with the programming, including honoraria, travel, and lodging. It is made possible by the John B. Jackson Tribute Endowment. The grant-funded events must be scheduled during the 2011-12 winter and/or spring quarters. They should be of potential interest to the larger campus community and should also be presented in conjunction with a UCLA center, department, research group, or campus constituency to which the sponsoring faculty member can serve as liaison. The successful applicant will be responsible for organizing the programming – i.e., conceptualizing it, identifying speakers, etc. – but library staff will handle all scheduling, travel, and other logistics.
